No, Christian Louboutin is not turning 20 years old but he did, in fact, just recently celebrate 20 years of his iconic, amazingly crafted, distinction of shoes- the one and only Christian Louboutin brand high heels. Additionally, he launched his new self-titled book which is a must-have for anyone who is the ultimate fan of his lacquer red soled works of modern art. He has just the perfect recipe for designing and creating sky-high stilettos that sustain the ability to still appear classy as well as sexy. The book contains dramatic still-life photography, fancy pop-up work, and a sassy foldout cover. It seems as though everything that this man puts his mind to and hands on is instant high fashion and sinfully desirable by women everywhere who know a thing or two about contemporary style.

Those in attendance at the anniversary party included celebrity Louboutin addicts such as the Olsen twins, Calvin Klein, Amanda Brooks, Lauren Remington Platt, and more. After mingling with friends and fans over talk of footwear, pumps, and platforms and doing more than a few book signings, he wined and dined with pals like Blake Lively, Alicia Keys, and Swizz Beatz.

Overpriced crocodile bags and clothing created by the ever-stylish Olsen twins are the buzz of the fashion world. These $39,000  leather backpacks are supposed to be all the rage- if you have rolls of money to burn. Apparently they sold out wherever they were being sold but it tends to make me question exactly how many were produced in the first place.. hmm. Either way, the twins have always proven that they know a thing or two about fashion so if you’re able to drop more than a few grand on accessories, then why not!?

While on the subject of outlandish fashion trends, something that is REALLY out there is a new method of creating clothing, using very unlikely elements; i.e., milk. Yes, milk. Dairy. Cream. Formula. The stuff that comes from cows that you dip  your chocolate chip cookies into. Yes, it sounds completely bizarro but believe it. According to an article by Natalia Drozdiak, a German fashion designer from German City of Hanover came up with the brilliant and rather strange idea to create clothing from milk to revolutionize the way of fashion. Anke Domaske is the force behind the creation who developed a special fabric called QMilch. It’s made from high concentrations of milk protein. In short, it’s the first man-made fiber that is actually produced without any chemicals. And no, the fabric won’t spoil, don’t worry. Among the many benefits of actually adorning yourself with garments made of this fabric include anti-aging advantages as well as body temperature regulation; not to mention it’s eco-friendly. The sassy designer plans on making an entire collection of clothes from the milk fiber. As for now, she is slowly weaving the milk fiber into pieces from her existing collection called Mademoiselle Chi Chi, which is loved by many celebrities, including Mischa Barton. Pretty interesting, eh? Before you know it, we’ll be creating clothes from any and all of our favorite snacks. That crazy fashion is ever-evolving and unpredictable. Gotta love it!
