This look is not only cutesy, ultra stylish and casual, it’s also attention-grabbing, believe it or not. Yes, it stems from mainly a neutral palette; however, that great tailored top has a cute print to it and it goes well with the dark wash jeans, gray infinity scarf, and adorable black and white tote. The chic bun that she twisted her hair into and the rather unexpected camel plaid print ankle shoes give the look some unique character. It’s very effortless, comfortable, and although it’s so simple, it shows that the person wearing the outfit knew exactly what they were doing when they got dressed that morning. Makes me eager to take my pup for a stroll this upcoming Sunday afternoon! I absolutely love this photograph and I hope you do, too.

Look adorable yet fashion forward for each rendezvous and every plan that you have going on this weekend. This chic military-style coat in a fallow color with buttons down the front is a great way to pull together a look when wearing a simple cream top and modestly patterned leggings. I love the fact that the purse she has precisely matches the coat. The long shoulder chain and the rectangular shape of the purse represent a Chanel inspiration while the chunky lace-up shoes remind me of many styles of Jeffrey Campbell shoes that I was looking at online earlier today. The look is great because it’s thoughtful and stylish yet subtle enough for a Saturday afternoon. The coat distinguishes itself from the pea coat while the leggings offer a little something extra and the shoes are a refreshing change of pace from the sea of winter boots we’re so accustomed to at this time of year. Not to mention that the little pop of color from that bow in her ponytail is lightyears beyond cute!
If trend watching and discovering new colors to integrate into your monotonous neutral wardrobe are among some of your avocations (as in the case with me) then behold the power of lapis! The gem-like blue hue is bright and attention-snatching and in my personal opinion, a color that is going to be a show-stealer for New Year’s ensembles. It’s beautiful and striking and a color that converts well from a daytime to a nighttime look.
Take this look for example: a casual high-waisted, lapis-colored skirt polished off by a simple leather belt and a fitted, tucked-in concrete top. Absolutely adorable for the afternoon but a skirt that can easily be transformed into a stylish after-dark look. Ditch the belt, find a funky collar necklace, put on some black tights, and top it all off with a sophisticated boyfriend blazer and voila, the transformation has been undergone! But really though, this color and this skirt are stunning. LOVE IT!

One of my modern-day style icons is without a doubt Lauren Conrad. I think that she is absolutely stunning and has such a classy style. It’s undeniable that she knows her fashion. I don’t know if you remember how I posted about Lauren launching a new collection for Paper Crown back in July. The collection is delectable and I came across this outfit she wore for “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” event in LA. The top and feminine ivory blazer come from Paper Crown, the leather leggings are Current/Elliot, and the heels are actually LC Lauren Conrad brand. That cute little pistachio clutch gives the neutral-colored outfit a great pop. I absolutely love this outfit. It’s great for work, for going out with friends, or for dinner on a Friday night with the boyfriend.
As much as they contrast, leather and lace have an upstanding relationship with one another. The girly innocence of lace and the rough edginess of leather make a statement that says “feminine, but with a twist”. This little cream lace dress with waist belt paired with the cropped bomber jacket is super cute and ready for a night out on the town. What do you guys think of the disparity of this ensemble? I personally love it!
Ahh, the fall. Now until Thanksgiving is the time to embrace fall fashion before it gets a little too frigid outside. Look fall-ready with these adorable peep-toe booties and a little ankle exposure with these slightly shorter leggings. A manageable look for brisk fall temperatures but not below freezing ones. Take advantage of the unique look of these “booties” while rocking a hot manicure while you still have time to! The best of both worlds and a definite look worth looking at.
