I promise you that this is no hyperbole; Roy Lichtenstein is by far one of my favorite artists of all time (next to Salvador Dali and Max Ernst) and his fun and inspirational works of pop art are being converted into nothing other than a fashion line by Lisa Perry! I’ve actually recreated one of his works myself for an art class and I’ll tell you that his style is so unique and fun to mimic that I can only take one guess as to why Lisa Perry decided to muster up
her influence from Lichtenstein. Lisa Perry is best known for being a mod designer and she came up with the idea to take three of Lichtenstein’s most famous pieces and
incorporate them into a ready-to-wear line. It’s a very limited collection, with only around 99 dresses for sale,
probably explaining why each one costs a whopping $2,000. However, there are similar t-shirts selling for $75, much more reasonably priced. With the help of the estate of Roy Lichtenstein, she was able to make this idea come to life, and the best part is that she is donating a portion of the collection’s proceeds to the Parrish Art Museum.
