Pretty prints and peplum = perfection! How’s that for some alliteration? It’s getting very chilly but it’s still not too cold for a gorgeous skirt like this on a crisp fall day. Invest in one while you still can.

When in doubt, adding a bow to anything makes it that much better. I like to think of the whole “tying your scarf into a giant bow” idea as being a signature look of mine. I’ve been doing this for a long time and I love the girly and stylish look it gives to a simple outfit. And what better time for scarf wearing than now?

 Gold details. That is all.

One of the most amazing, inspirational, innovative, and perhaps misunderstood fashion designer of all time has got to be Alexander McQueen. Although he is gone, he will always remain one of my personal favorites and his designs will always be cherished in the world of fashion. It’s no wonder that I love his famous skull head scarves that probably look familiar to you thanks to the likings of many celebrities rocking the look. I need one of these scarves for so many reasons.

 The Pattern Cocktail

Nothing makes a statement like a bold, fresh pattern. However, nothing is more powerful and reflective of one’s confidence than someone who can rock completely dissimilar patterns in one, comprehensive outfit. It may seem like the biggest “clasher” on the face of this earth to wear stripes with paisley or polka dots with animal prints or geometrics and tribals with any other splash of a print that you can think of, but stop right there and go no further; don’t let outdated fashion rules and style myths hinder you from double-dipping in this fall’s most popular pattern trends. Patterns are everywhere, even prominent in men’s fashion, so be efficient and fashion-friendly and mix patterns that work together, and more importantly, work for you.

Inspiration Day 8

I’ve always loved this pattern in fashion and I always will, and it seems to be making a comeback for this fall season – It’s none other than houndstooth and not only am I seeing it prominent in coats and scarves, but also in dresses, tops, and much more. I’ve posted in the past about how I love Alexander McQueen’s renditions of the Scotland-originated, jagged black and white pattern, but I’m also loving this houndstooth number from Max Mara worn by Emma Stone on U.K.’s Fall 2012 issue of Vogue.

The perfect time of year for leather leggings. Add some sexy hair, an amazing pair of heels, and a simple off-the-shoulder top and you’ve done it. Easy as 1-2-3.
